Hi! I'm Rachel, a Christian, twenty-something French and German graduate living in Bristol, England. I love to read (obviously!) and blog mainly about books and bookish things, but I also love to write and hope to get ther chance to do more of that in the future. Besides that, I love music (both playing it and listening to it), travelling, bad jokes, Harry Potter, knitting, Ultimate Frisbee, and all things language related!
On this blog, I only review things that I'm interested in reading, and don't generally accept copies for review (unless I'm really keen on the book). I just want to spend my time reading things that I want to read, rather than feeling pressured to read something specific that I might not even enjoy that much. I believe reading makes you a more interesting, well-rounded and understanding person, and getting lost in the nerdy world of books is also a whole lotta fun :) Check out my Master Review List for all my reviews so far.
I'm currently trying to read books from as many different countries as possible, thought I haven't got that far yet! Check out my Travel the World in Books Challenge page to see how I'm doing, and to get some suggestions if you want to take part in the challenge yourself.
I'm also a fan of lists (who isn't!?) - check out a few of my bookish lists here!
I love a whole mix of genres, from 19th century classics and literary fiction to sci-fi, fantasy and murder mysteries. I'm always open to book suggestions, and love perusing other people's blogs to see what they recommend reading. So don't be shy! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think I should read next! :)
Last but not least, I'd like to say a massive WELCOME to Dashing Good Books! I hope you enjoy your time here.
